Neighborhoods Initiative

In January 2006, each of the nine members of council selected neighborhoods to oversee and review resident’s concerns or issues. If you have a certain issue or concern you would like to bring to council’s attention, please fill out a Citizen Concern Form and forward it to the City Manager’s office – Room 102, City Hall. All complaints will be reported to the appropriate council member by the City Manager.

Moxham Crime Watch

The Moxham Crime Watch was started in 2005 with the assistance of the Johnstown Police Department and is dedicated to helping local law enforcement fight crime in the Moxham neighborhood. Civilian participants patrol the neighborhood which is broken down into zones that are headed by Captains. During the day and evening hours, groups of two or more equipped with radios, vests, and flashlights patrol the zones to look for suspicious persons or activity. If any suspicious activity is located, it is immediately radioed to the 911 Center. Monthly meetings are held at St. Patrick's School cafeteria and new members are always welcome.
