CBM BUSINESS MACHINES, INC.

The ground has been broken and construction is under way for the new CBM in the Kernville neighborhood of Johnstown. The $1.5 million, 10,000 square-foot facility located on the corner of Franklin and South will be CBM's main headquarters. Started in 1964, CBM sold typewriters and has since formed into a local business where customers can purchase items from computers, printers, copiers and fax machines to office furniture and wireless phone headsets. TECH PARK
The Greater Johnstown Tech Park will be the new home for MTS Technologies and Northrop Grumman in November 2008. The LEED Building Project, which stands three stories high and is a total of 93,700 square feet, is being development on a Brownfield Site located on the corner of Haynes and Napoleon Streets in the Kernville neighborhood of Johnstown. Built to attract Healthcare, IT, Bioscience, Defense and Finance companies, the Greater Johnstown Tech Park is a community investment which will attract new companies and create high quality jobs. The new headquarters for ITSI Biosciences will be located on 633 Napoleon Street in the Kernville neighborhood of Johnstown and is expected to be completed in August 2008. With clients from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Michigan, Florida, Texas, South Africa and Nigeria, ITSI Biosciences is a leading developer of ready-to-use kits for biomedical research. After announcing a $500,000 state investment to the project, PA Governor Edward Rendell said, "The innovative and groundbreaking research that will take place here will bring hope to people around the world and improve their quality of life with the development of new medicine and improved medical treatment."
